Every Z2 Hockey coach completes the following before working with players:

• •SafeSport certification — federally-required abuse-prevention training, renewed annually.
• •Background check — independent third-party screening before first session, refreshed every 24 months.
• •First Aid + CPR — current certification required for any coach working unsupervised at the rink.
• •USA Hockey CEP — Coaching Education Program level appropriate to age group, where applicable.

Z2 Hockey staff verify each credential by document review before flipping a coach to "verified" status. Expirations are tracked; coaches are notified at T-90, T-60, T-30, and on the day of expiration.
