Our Mission
ABOUT Z2 HOCKEY
Z2 Hockey exists to build the best youth hockey players in Nashville. We believe development happens through purposeful training — small groups, elite coaching, and a system that connects every drill to real game performance. Our mission is to give every player who trains with us the habits, skills, and compete level to reach their ceiling.

IKE ZEIER
Player Development Coach
Ike Zeier was born into the game. A Brentwood, Tennessee native and Nashville Jr Predators alum, he came up through some of the most respected development programs in North American hockey — the Nashville Jr Predators, the St. Louis Jr. Blues, and Fox Motors — learning to think the game like a coach long before he became one. He stepped behind the bench young and never looked back. Ike has served as head coach of the Nashville Jr. Predators 12U Quebec Pee-Wee team, a 14U AAA head coach, and an 18U AAA assistant — and inside the Vegas Jr. Golden Knights he coached every level from U12 through U18 AAA, building a reputation for development that translates from the practice rink to game night. Then he and his brother Zeke built Z2 to do it their way: a model rooted in hockey IQ, skill acquisition, and long-term growth, brought home to Nashville to grow the game in the city that shaped them. Ike believes every rep should teach a read, not just a skill — and he trains players to think the game, decide under pressure, and compete at every level they reach. Confidence. Character. Compete.
“Every rep should teach a read, not just a skill. That's how you develop players who separate.”

ZEKE ZEIER
Player Development Coach
A Brentwood, Tennessee native, Zeke Zeier competed at the junior and collegiate levels in the NAHL and NCAA, where he learned firsthand the discipline, resilience, and relentless work ethic required to succeed in the game. The grind of earning ice time and proving himself shift after shift shaped the foundation of the coach he is today.
Following his playing career, Zeke moved into hockey operations with the Vegas Golden Knights organization, where he continued studying the game from a different perspective while gaining valuable experience within a professional environment.
Zeke has coached throughout Nashville and Las Vegas, working with athletes ranging from youth players to elite AAA, junior, and collegiate levels. His coaching philosophy is built on purposeful repetition, game-realistic training, and developing players who can think, react, and execute under pressure. By studying the sport at its highest levels and bringing those standards back to the developmental rink, he helps athletes improve one detail, one decision, and one habit at a time.
Z2 Hockey was born in Las Vegas when Zeke and his brother, Ike, set out to build something different—a program rooted in Hockey IQ, skill development, character, culture, and relentless competitiveness. Together, they brought that vision home to Nashville, Tennessee, the city that helped shape them as players and people.
Zeke believes every drill should serve the player, not the other way around. He challenges athletes to train with purpose, compete with confidence, lead with character, and commit to daily growth.
“Every drill must serve the player, not the other way around. We build the habits that show up when it matters most.”

Our Approach
WHAT SETS Z2 APART
No Wasted Reps
Every session is designed for constant movement. No lines, no standing around — players are working from start to finish.
Game Transfer
Skills are taught in game-realistic contexts so players can execute under pressure, not just in drills.
Complete Development
Ice, gym, and film work together as one system. We develop the full player — skating, strength, IQ, and compete level.
Small Groups
Tight, focused groups for Elite Ice Sessions, 20–24 for camps. Every player gets real coaching attention and meaningful reps.
